Ken Akamatsu is a famed mangaka, famous for the creation of the manga and anime series A.I. Love You.

Head of Studio Akamatsu, Akamatsu continues to create and sell manga at various exhibitions and once attempted to embark on a world-wide boat tour with his two assistants, Magii and Betty, only for the ship to be shanghaied by Motoko, Kitsune, and Mutsumi.

• Akamatsu is a cartoon parody of the real Ken Akamatsu; creator of the Love Hina franchise. In the original Japanese, this character is voiced by Akamatsu himself.
• It is unknown how Akamatsu knows The Hinata Residents, however, the groups cross paths on various occasions throughout the anime and OVA specials.
