Mutsumi’s Apartment is a lodge situated across the road from the Hinata House with rented rooms for 12,000 yen each. The building is notable for its gold fish weathervane however it is located five feet from the train line (Mutsumi’s room has a door that opens directly onto the line).
Unfortunately, in the manga, the building, already under consideration to be demolished, burnt down when, during New Year’s Eve, the building’s water heater exploded. Mutsumi Otohime survived the incident and was taken in by Haruka Urashima who offered her the spare room in the Hinata Café in exchange for helping out with the business.
In the anime the building isn't burnt down and becomes Mutsumi's residential location during her stay in Hinata. Kaolla's sister Amalla Su, stays in one of the building's apartments during her visits to the town as well.
