The blade is named Shisui in my books...Netherith 08:39, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Redirect = the best command ever to solve naming conflicts. I'll redirect this to Shisui Uppfinnarn 08:42, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Odd...[]

Did I make this article? Could have sworn I had written some stuff about the sword, its history and the brief reappearance after it was broken. Can't find it on the history though...Netherith 08:52, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

That's actually my fault, sorry... I accidentally overwrote the old page when I moved it... The result of not checking what you're doing -.- I thought I moved your page to overwrite the old. I'll try restoring it... Uppfinnarn 08:54, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

I found the old revision, could you merge it into the current page? Content:

The Shisui (凪水 "Calm Water") is a Shinmei-ryū shirasaya (a white-wood katana without a hand guard) sword given to Motoko Aoyama by her elder sister, Tsuruko Aoyama. A favoured sword of Tsuruko’s, she gave it to Motoko as a farewell present just before leaving to start work outside of the Kyoto.
Motoko grew up using the sword, training with it and favouring it has her primary weapon; taking it with her to Hinata and Hinata House. However, when Tsuruko one day arrived at Hinata House to bring Motoko back to the Shinmei-ryu school, and Motoko lied in an attempt dissuade her, the Shisui’s blade, and with it Motoko’s emblem of warriorship, was broken by Tsuruko after a brief duel between the two.
While Motoko would eventually come back from the defeat, acquiring a new primary weapon in the Hina Blade, it is unknown whether the Shisui was ever reforged, although it (or a weapon just like it) can briefly be seen hanging in Motoko’s belt as a back-up blade during the conflict involving Kanako Urashima and the Hinata House.
